Hi, I’m Lori Leary, Founder and Board President


Why are you here? My passion for animals is foremost in my life and my work to save as many lives as possible and keep pets with their families is tremendously rewarding. I can’t imagine not doing what I do.
What did you want to be as a grown up when you were a kid? A veterinarian
What’s the most exciting thing you’re working on? Our new initiative, the Homeless Animals Support Network, working with small rescues and undeserved communities throughout the state of Virginia, to save even more animals lives, give more people the opportunity to experience the unconditional love of a pet and to help families in need keep their beloved pets.

Hi, I’m Cait Daly


Why are you here? I love animals & want them to be happy and healthy! I want Virginia to reach No Kill status by 2025, and believe we can make a difference in helping smaller and underserved communities get there!
What did you want to be as a grown up when you were a kid? An astronaut.
What’s the most exciting thing you’re working on? Definitely my work with the Homeless Animals Support Network. I am so excited to continue life saving efforts in my home state and meet amazing folks along the way.

Hi, I’m Kayte Zowine


Why are you here? I am completely incapable of a life without animal welfare work - my biggest passion!
What did you want to be as a grown up when you were a kid? An activist/advocate - I used to have practice sit-ins.
What’s the most exciting thing you’re working on? Helping keep animals with their families and getting shelter pets into homes through the support opportunities provided by HASN!
